Summary Statement

This position is responsible for planning developing and implementing strategic policy at a division level regarding training/education/organizational development. This position is also responsible for overseeing and monitoring the work of other positions within the unit. This position also researches develops and implements trainings online and in the classroom to ensure that program goals and current operations are in compliance with department and Federal/State rules regulations policies and procedures. This position also develops defends and monitors budgets grants and contracts within the unit establishes training priorities in coordination with the operations team and has regular contact internal and external partners to provide technical guidance direct and instruction for training as well as the specific training for the Division.

  • Develop and implement training development informational and/or educational programs courses curricula training resources lesson plans materials and visual aids.
  • Evaluate effectiveness of programs courses curricula training resources lesson plans materials and visual aids and modify to meet identified problems/needs state/federal requirements and agency goals/objectives.
  • Present training development informational and/or educational programs via classroom workshop or seminar using formal classroom instruction exercises handouts materials visual aids etc. for group or one-on-one instruction.
  • Research evaluate and select materials handouts visual aids exercises etc. that will best promote learning.
  • Identify and analyze needs through interviews surveys and meetings with supervisors management administrators officials clients the public etc.
  • Provide recommendations regarding problems/needs effectiveness of training resources and implementation of new or modified programs courses curricula training resources lesson plans materials and visual aids.
  • Collect analyze and evaluate data from a variety of sources and effectively present/communicate information.
  • Coordinate training/educational activities with agency personnel contractors community/professional organizations and other providers.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal laws rules regulations requirements and/or contract agreements.

Job Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS for Training/Education Administrator I
Applicants must have education training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:

  • Six months experience in training administration which includes planning and establishing training priorities implementing strategic initiatives developing and implementing training programs and overseeing the development of training courses and materials.
  • Three years experience in preparing and developing training or education courses which includes designing learning objectives curricula and materials.
  • Three years experience in developing and analyzing training needs assessments at the individual job or organizational level.
  • Knowledge of managing budgets grants or contracts.
  • Knowledge of developing policies or procedures.

Additional Posting Information

Due to a new requirement from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) the following mandate is effective January 27 2022: As a condition of employment employees providing health care services and/or support services in covered facilities must show proof that they have received the dose of a single J&J dose or the 1st dose of Moderna/Pfizer two-dose vaccine effective date January 27 2022 and proof of the single J&J dose or the 2nd dose of Moderna/Pfizer two-dose vaccine by February. 28 2022. Employees may not provide any care treatment or other services until proof is provided. Based on CMS guidance the date for compliance may extend into March due to the health care facilities high vaccination rate of staff. If you accept a position with the facility your Human Resources representative can provide more guidance. The only exception to these requirements is for those employees granted medical or religious exemptions from the COVID-19 vaccine as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which may require weekly COVID-19 testing.
