You’ll also assist the Associate Content Editor in maintaining a content library of hospital patient education for our print and digital products. You’re a stickler for detail, excellent at managing project deadlines, and are comfortable working collaboratively with a team of designers.

Primary Responsibilities

Editing—You’ll proofread and edit for the daily workflow of editorial and ad projects. This could include proofreading ads before going to print, making revisions to a Digital Patient Guide website, or reviewing and editing changes to a print Patient Guide. In all you do, your goal is consistency and accuracy in style and grammar.

Collaborating with designers—You’ll clearly communicate design changes and edits to designers, and help with brainstorming when complex design issues come up. You’ll also participate in group reviews of design projects and provide constructive feedback.

Additional Responsibilities

Write to create print and digital Patient Guides for new hospital clients, and copywrite for new ads as needed.
Assist in fact-checking our library of articles once a year, as well as implementing any updates needed in between.
Help the Associate Content Editor manage translation projects with our third-party translation vendor.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related field with 1-3 years of applicable professional experience
A high level of writing skill, including spelling, grammar, punctuation and style
Familiarity following style guides (AP Style experience a plus)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects at one time and quickly adapt to changing priorities
Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
Learns quickly and fosters personal commitment to high-quality work
