Humana Corporate Affairs is seeking an Administrative Assistant 2 who will follow established procedures and guidelines to provide timely and effective administrative support to an office business unit department or other organization.  This role typically works on semi-routine assignments. Responsibilities

Location: Hybrid Office – Combination of in office & remote in Humana’s Louisville Kentucky location is the preference

The Administrative Assistant 2 assists in the creation of meeting materials reports and presentations using word processing presentation graphics and spreadsheet software. Attention to detail and advanced proofreading skills are essential. This role will require heavy calendar management responsibilities for multiple individuals. You will also be required to book travel and events when needed for internal and external individuals.

  • Coordinates internal and external meetings which may involve scheduling meeting times making travel arrangements for attendees and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available.
  • Manages the appointments and schedules of applicable staff
  • Documents meeting minutes
  • Process and track financial invoices
  • Checks for payments
  • Uses office equipment such as photocopiers faxes and printers
  • Distributes incoming mail prepares outgoing mail files documents and maintains office supplies or other inventory.
  • Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards but has some latitude over prioritization/timing and works under minimal direction.
  • Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications

  • Two (2) or more years of experience providing administrative support
  • Ability to book and plan travel & events
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook Word PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to balance multiple or competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to maintain confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills and communication skills verbal and written
  • Must have a separate room with a locked door that can be used as a home office to ensure you have absolute and continuous privacy while you work
  • Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role). A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 10×1 (10mbs download x 1mbs upload) is required

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access
  • Experience with Concur and/or similar expense and travel management systems.
  • Previous experience providing administrative support to leadership teams in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience with internet research and proof-reading/editing.
